General rules and guidelines

Requesting edits to a design, painting, reference, etc
You may request edits during or after the painting of your commission, but all information is meant to be given at the start so things go quickly and easily. You are allowed to request up to three edits before being charged $15 per extra request. This is meant to dissuade picky clients from using up more of my time without paying me for it. Mistakes of mine do not count towards this and are free. A picky client must be extremely descriptive and provide references or even hand drawings, preferably before I begin painting, if their message is difficult to interpret.

All information about an order, especially things important to you, should be given when you're applying for or describing a commission.
For a design, this should include many things listed here:

For a commission, this includes, but is not limited to, the following:
  • Important elements of the character I'll be drawing, including anatomy and markings that you specifically want to be as accurate as possible
  • Information about the background, if desiring anything specific
  • Pose(s) you would like to see. If no pose is requested, I can provide sketches to choose from.
  • A reference without shading or fur painting for me to draw from

Edits such as "make the paws bigger", "change their expression to be more angry", "change her pose to be more like this", "make the fur longer on the shoulders", etc, all count as separate requests.
If you are picky or particular about the art you receive, please be prepared to pay for additional edits. When ordering a commission or applying for one, it is important for me to know if you are specific or picky and may affect my decision in accepting the order.

Regarding sketches and their messiness
Please keep in mind that a sketch is not a finished product nor a completely accurate representation of what'll be created. My sketches are used as the foundation for the project and as an idea of where it's headed. The modeling and realism comes during the painting. My sketches don't usually include scars, which are added at the very end, along with any nsfw options. Often times, a sketch is just a placeholder. I will go back in once the basic coloring has been done to make the character more anatomically correct and to fix things from the sketch that might've bothered me upon inspection.

Payment
Payment can be sent in two ways: before the order is complete, or after it's complete. Usually the only time orders are paid for ahead of time, before it's done, is when I'm in an emergency. Otherwise, I usually like to have payment sent once we're both satisfied with the commission. Payment should be sent immediately after completion, no delays. You will not receive the full sized image until payment is acquired.

Payment plans
I accept payment plans on adopts, when advertised, and when asked for on commission orders $100 or over. For orders between $100-$200, I will require payment once at the start of the order and once again a week later, or when the order is completed. For orders greater than this amount, you and I can discuss something and work it out.

Active commissions and communicating
Currently my commissions queue is quite long, so I have a section in my schedule for "on hold" orders and "active" orders. Your order is considered "active" once I've messaged you and informed you that I'll be working on it shortly! I'll soon be sending you work in progress images for you to look over and approve. During this time, please respond reasonably quickly, within a day or two. Once I've started on an order, I feel compelled to finish it while motivated, inspired, and informed, so delays counteract this and make the work less enjoyable. If a client is slow in responding to me (3+ days delay between multiple replies, or takes a week or more to get back to me) they may have their order put to the back of the queue.

If you're on vacation, need more time to think, or have any kind of delay, please message me about it to prevent your order being canceled!

Subject matter
I love all animals and fantasy creatures, as well as hideous monsters and the macabre. I have no restrictions on color palettes except that they're relatively realistic and aesthetically pleasing to me without any immensely saturated, bright colors clashing with each other. I don't get many orders to draw humanoids, but I'm not against it and would be interested in exploring that area at a, perhaps, lower cost for the experimentation factor. I do not draw any human hair on animals as it doesn't fit in well with my style. I also do not draw contemporary, modern clothing clothing and accessories on animals, but I enjoy fantasy designs and other accessories or clothing pieces on them. Lastly, I do not draw over-simplified markings, or markings found in the human world such as geometric shapes, as they generally turn out poorly in my style.

I will draw:
  • Any animal
  • Any fantasy creature, mythological creature, demon, monster, or made up creation
  • Humans or humanoid creatures (experimental)
  • Fantasy clothing, historical clothing, or made up clothing themes that don't reflect the modern world.
  • A wide range of colors
  • Complex markings and color combinations
  • Tasteful and not overly sexualized nudes or couple pictures (anthro or human)
  • Gore and blood, dark themes
  • Select adult content, including animals/anthro, up to my discretion

I won't draw:
  • Modern clothing on animals, such as hoodies, socks, or top hats, for example.
  • Geometric or overly simplified markings. Ask if unsure!
  • Torture or violent acts
  • Fetishes that are violent or disturbing.
  • Anything extremely graphic, objectifying, or humiliating.
  • Human hair on animals, generally

  17. • Commissions, including Your Character Heres, may only receive refunds in some situations. Both may receive full refunds if I have not yet begun working on them. Once I begin working on a Your Character Here, it is then considered final and no refunds may be issued. Refunds for other commissions are up to my discretion and are proportionate to how much work has been done on the order. More work done on a commission means less of a refund.
  18. • Requesting a refund is frowned upon and you may be blacklisted for my future protection and preservation of time.
  19. • Very rarely, I may choose to issue you a proportionate refund and cancel your commission without your request. I have the right to cancel a commission at any time or for any reason of my own. General reasons for a cancellation on my part would be an emergency or extreme discomfort or distress from working with the client.
  20. • If ordering a commission, you must provide me with a clear, unshaded reference of the character in a side view or otherwise showing the entire body.
